The Pathway to Hope Public Art Trail honors the enduring spirit and rich heritage of the Greenwood District.
A project of the Oklahoma Arts Council’s Art in Public Places program in cooperation with the City of Tulsa and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
'Visionaries,' by Alexander Tamahn and Joel Daniel Phillips features sixteen massive portraits of the people, past and present, whose visions and contributions have shaped North Tulsa. Painted in bright, celebratory color and printed at a monumental scale onto aluminum panels, the figures fill the four underpass walls of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard leading from North Tulsa to the Tulsa Arts District, creating a permanent bridge between past and present.
